Downtown Loveland’s Night on the Town event will take place at 5-9 p.m. Friday, May 8.

Ravens Hike
A Larimer County volunteer naturalist will lead a “What About the Ravens?” hike at 9:30 a.m.-noon Friday, May 8, at Devils Backbone Open Space, 1725 Hidden Valley Drive.
Learn about these brilliant birds, their adaptations, habitats and more.
The program is free, but the location requires a $10 day-use fee or current annual entrance permit.

‘Wind in the Willows’
The Lincoln Center Imagination Series will present “Wind in the Willows” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 8, at the Lincoln Center, 417 W. Magnolia.
The beloved children’s novel comes to life, sharing the tale of Mole and Rat on an all-night race through Wild Wood.

‘The Bright Side’
The Lincoln Center Art Gallery will celebrate the power of bright color and uplifting energy through a dynamic mix of artistic styles with its next exhibit, “The Bright Side,” opening Friday, May 1, at the center, 417 W. Magnolia St.
An opening reception will be held at 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, May 8.
The exhibit will feature floral paintings by Annie O’Brien Gonzales of Loveland, an interactive installation by Laura Merage of Englewood, abstract works by Tricia Soderberg of Colorado Springs, and a selection of portraits by Randy Steinke of Denver. With bright colors, interesting shapes and unexpected materials, the exhibit aims to offer an immersive environment designed to inspire positivity and curiosity.
The exhibit will be on display through June 12.
Gallery hours are 1-6 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and before most performances. Admission is free.

‘Serenade to Music’
Laudamus Chamber Chorale will present “Serenade to Music” at 4-5:30 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at First United Methodist Church, 1005 Stover St.
The season finale will feature Ralph Vaughan Williams’ mini-masterpiece of the same name accompanied by piano and a violin soloist.
The concert will also feature several “favorites” by Mozart and some soul-stirring American folks songs and spirituals, in preparation for the group’s tour to Austria in June.
Concert-goers are invited to a reception immediately following the concert to celebrate 28 years of music making. Light refreshments, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts will be served.

Limitless Variety Show
The Limitless Variety Show will take place at 7-9 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at Live Beyond Limit, 353 W. Drake Road, Suite 130/140.
The show is a monthly evolving community-driven celebration and performance experience, and can include comedy, music, storytelling, magic, dance, aerial arts and beyond.

Cinco de Mayo Benefit
Mujeres de Colores will host a Cinco de Mayo Fundraiser at 6-10 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Club Tico, 1599 City Park Drive.
The evening will feature authentic Mexican cuisine, live entertainment by Ballet Folklorico and the chance to dance the night away with Robert G.
The nonprofit supports individuals, working class and low-income families through children’s programs and Hispanic cultural education.

Travel Program
Travel writer Zanny Merullo will present “Travel with Intention,” a talk exploring meaningful ways tourism can support local communities and conservation efforts around the world, at 7-8 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures, 200 W. Mountain Ave.
Drawing from her career in travel journalism and international living experiences, Zanny will share stories from tourism projects she has collaborated with that prioritize ethical travel, cultural respect and environmental stewardship.
Guests can gain insight into how travel can move beyond sightseeing to become a force for positive change.

Steven Curtis Chapman
The Dayspring Foundation will present Christian musician Steven Curtis Chapman in a concert to benefit Dayspring Christian Academy at 7 p.m. Friday, May 8, at the Union Colony Civic Center, 701 10th Ave.
In a career that has spanned more than three decades, Chapman is the most awarded artist in Christian music history. With 60 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, five Grammy Awards, an American Music Award, and a historic 50 No. 1 singles.

Animation Showcase
Aims Community College will hold a Film and Animation Showcase at 2-4 p.m. Friday, May 8, and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Ed Beaty Hall Theater, 5203 W. 20th St., on the Aims Greeley Campus.
The event screens diverse student projects in a variety of genres, from comedy, action and drama to imaginative animated stories and suspenseful films.
