LOVELAND

Poker Run

The fifth annual High Plains Honor Flight Poker Run will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Thunder Mountain Harley-Davidson, 4250 Byrd Drive.

The event raises money for the High Plains Honor Flight, which celebrates America’s veterans by inviting them to share in a day of honor at our nation’s memorials. The purpose is to ensure that each veteran receives the “Welcome Home” that many never received. The trip to visit the memorials in Washington, D.C., is at no cost to the veterans.

High Plains Honor Flight is a 100% volunteer 501 (c)(3) organization with all proceeds used to honor veterans. Each flight, HPHF takes 120 veterans to Washington, D.C.; the current cost of a flight is $250,000.

World Labyrinth Day

All Saints Episcopal Church, 3448 N. Taft Ave., will hold a World Labyrinth Day Walk for Peace — Walk as One at One at 12:30-3 p.m. Saturday, May 2.

Whether you are familiar with labyrinths or new to the idea of non-maze labyrinth paths, all are welcome to learn more and take part.

All Saints Episcopal Church will offer an introductory workshop and open walk in celebration of the 18th annual World Labyrinth Day and joining in a rolling wave of peace around the world.

The event will be held on the lawn of All Saints on the All Saints Community Labyrinth. There will also be an indoor labyrinth available to walk in inclement weather or if preferred.

At 12:30 p.m. a welcome and introduction to walking a labyrinth is planned. The open walk begins at 1 p.m. The community can come and walk anytime between 1  p.m. and 3 p.m. with guidance and support.

‘Pippin’

Northern Colorado Performing Arts will present “Pippin the Musical” at 7  p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 1-2 and May 8-9, at the theater at 575 N. Denver Ave.

The young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment, finding it not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day.

Parental discretion is advised for ages 13 and younger.

A Kentucky Derby Party will take place at 2-6 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at 477 Distilling,123 E. Fifth St.

City Nature Challenge

The City Nature Challenge ID Party will take place at noon-2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at the Loveland Public Library, 300 N. Adams Ave., in the Gertrude Scott Meeting Room.

Join other nature lovers and staff from Open Land & Trails for a fun ID Party and help each other to identify the observations made during the City Nature Challenge Bioblitz.

The City Nature Challenge is a playful quest to see which city can document the most species in support of scientific research and biodiversity conservation. Participants will capture photos and recordings of wild flora and fauna April 24-27 and contribute valuable data to the worldwide citizen science effort.

Nominations Sought

The League of Women Voters-Larimer County is seeking nominations for women in Larimer County who are working to expand/protect voting rights for all eligible voters, protecting women’s rights and creating a world where gender doesn’t limit opportunities.

Nomination forms are available at lwv-larimercounty.org/wed and are due by June 1.

Selected women will be recognized at a celebration of Women’s Equality Day at 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at The Forge Event Center in Loveland.

The public is invited to attend and tickets will be available for purchase in June.

Dances of Universal Peace

Namaqua Unitarian Universalist Congregation will hold Dances of Universal Peace at 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at the church at 745 E. Fifth St.

The event blends sacred phrases, live music and movement from various traditions to create a unifying experience. No experience is required, and childcare is available.

The community will come together to hear comedian Kevin Fitzgerald and to support single-parent families in the Longmont and surrounding areas.

Best known for his appearances on Animal Planet’s “Emergency Vets,” Fitzgerald blends sharp wit with real‑life adventures from around the world — from traveling with wildlife conservation teams to stories from behind the scenes in comedy clubs.

Garden Plant Sale

Berthoud Local will hold its annual Community Garden Plant Sale at 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, May 2, at Pioneer Park’s Community Garden at the intersection of East Indiana Avenue and Southeast Second Street.

The sale will feature a variety of annuals, heirlooms, herbs, handcrafted garden trugs (baskets), handcrafted wooden items and more

Proceeds will support the Community Garden and the Berthoud Local mission. Berthoud Local is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that serves and fosters local food-focused projects with a focus in farming, gardening, the environment, humane and healthy farm animal treatment and supporting pollinators.

FORT COLLINS

Trolley Returns

The Fort Collins Trolley returns for its 2026 season on Saturday, May 2, running noon-5 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays through Sept. 27.

A beloved Fort Collins tradition, the trolley was fully restored to its original 1919 style starting in 1977 and has been carrying passengers through Old Town since 1984.

The historic streetcar travels a former heritage route between the Trolley Depot at City Park, 1501 W. Oak St., and Old Town, departing every 30 minutes with the last car leaving City Park at 4:30 p.m.

Fares are $2 for adults, $1 for seniors and children, and free for children under 3. Credit and debit cards are accepted at the City Park depot; all other stops are cash only.

Fort Collins Symphony

The Fort Collins Symphony (FCS), under the direction of Maestro Wes Kenney, will present the final concert in its Signature Concert series, “Rhythms of Diversity and Energy” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at the Lincoln Center, 417 W. Magnolia.

The program will feature Michael Torke’s “Run,” Daniel Freiberg’s “Jazz Clarinet Concerto: Latin American Chronicles” and Aaron Copland’s iconic Symphony No. 3.

A Maestro’s Musings Pre-Concert Lecture will be offered at 6:30-7 p.m. before the concert.

The concert offers both in-person and live-stream attendance options.

Portuguese-Canadian clarinetist Wesley Ferreira will be featured artist, performing with the symphony on Freiberg’s piece.

Adult tickets are $29-$83, and students and children $10.

Prior to the show, there will be a Composer Talk with CSU professor Dr. K. Dawn Grapes at 12:15-1:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at the Old Town Library, 201 Peterson St. Admission is free.

An Open Rehearsal will give people a chance to learn firsthand what it takes for an orchestra to bring live music to the stage. The free session will be at 7-8:15 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at the Lincoln Center.

‘The Odyssey’

The Debut Theatre Company presents “The Odyssey” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 1-2, and 1 p.m. Sunday, May 3, through May 16, with additional 1 p.m. performances on Saturdays, May 9 and May 16, at the Lincoln Center, 417 W. Magnolia St.

Join Odysseus and his rag-tag crew of loyal sailors as they risk life and limb on the stormy seas to find their way back home. Follow along as they encounter monsters and mortals, a cyclops and sirens, whirlpools and the underworld.

The family-friendly production features puppets of all sizes and over 60 mortal and mythological characters performed by 16 young actors.

Donation Drive

Neighbor to Neighbor, in partnership with a volunteer group from Leadership Fort Collins, will host a community donation drive at 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, to support the launch of a new lending library for its residents.

The donation drive will take place at Neighbor to Neighbor, located at 1550 Blue Spruce Drive in Fort Collins.

Northern Colorado community members are invited to donate new household items that will help stock the lending library and provide practical resources for individuals and families to rent out.

Community members can support the initiative by donating new household items at the May 2 event, purchasing items from the project’s Amazon Wish List, sharing the event with their networks, or connecting organizers with businesses and organizations interested in contributing.

The lending library is a project of the 2025-26 Fort Collins Area Chamber Leadership Fort Collins program.

The Wild Rose Mustang Advocacy – Denim & Diamonds Gala will take place at 6-10 p.m. Friday, May 1, at the Rio Grande Restaurant’s Agave Room, 149 W. Mountain Ave.

Wild Rose Mustang Advocacy Group will host the event featuring a cocktail hour, dinner, music, program, silent and live auctions and drawing for a gold pendant.

Using natural horsemanship, Wild Rose trains mustangs in Colorado.

Its summer youth program will take applications this spring for local youth trainers to work hands on with 12 mustangs.

‘Fashion Reframed’

The opening reception for the annual Department of Design and Merchandising Fashion Show, “Fashion Reframed,” will be held at 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 1, at the Lory Student Center – University Ballroom and Lounge, 1101 Center Ave. Mall.

This year’s show will feature original garments and products designed by DM students in the Apparel Design and Production and Product Development capstone courses. These pieces highlight students’ design aesthetics, construction skills and innovation.

Autism Resource Fair

The 2026 Fort Collins Autism Resource Fair will take place at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 3, at the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, 408 Mason Court.

The free event is designed to provide information and support for the autism community in and around Fort Collins.

Historic Preservation

To kick off Historic Preservation Month, the town of Windsor will hold Coffee with the Commissioners at 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Windsor Lake Coffee inside Peculiar Ales, 301 Main St.

The informal event gives residents and business owners the opportunity to meet members of the Historic Preservation Commission, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and learn more about the commission’s work to preserve and celebrate Windsor’s historic sites. ‘Hadestown’

“Hadestown” will be staged at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at the Union Colony Civic Center, 701 10th Ave.

Greeley Philharmonic

The Greeley Philharmonic will present “Beethoven to Bernstein” at 7-9 p.m. Saturday. May 2, at Monfort Concert Hall at Union Colony Civic Center, 701 10th Ave.

ESTES PARK

Duck Race

The Estes Park Duck Race will take place at 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, May 2.

Ducks will be dropped in the Big Thompson River in two flights at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Performance Park on West Elkhorn Avenue and will proceed to a finish line next to the Estes Park Visitor Center.

There will be live music at both the start and finish lines.

Hundreds of prizes will be awarded to the fastest ducks.

Ducks cost $25 each with $23 donated to selected nonprofits.
