French Family Band
Loveland Performing Arts will present The French Family Band at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at Thompson Valley High School, 1669 Eagle Drive.
Originally from Australia and now based in Nashville, The French Family Band takes inspiration from the country and Western swing icons of decades past, creating and performing American roots music.
The group appeared on the legendary Grand Ol’ Opry four times in 2023.
The family’s combined sound is described as echoes of Chet Atkins, Anne Murray and Merle Haggard.

New Horizons Band

Cat Fest Colorado
Cat Fest Colorado, celebrating all things cat, will be held at 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the Petersen Toyota Center at the Ranch Events Complex, 5280 Arena Circle.
Hosted by Dana Cain Events, the new festival features a show floor, a dozen cat adoption booths, a Kitten Yoga area, Cat Video Cafe, Hello Kitty and free face painting.
The Yellow Rose Cat Club will be hosting a TICA-sanctioned cat show featuring dozens more cats.
Cat Fest will celebrate the magical nature of cats with a Mystical Egyptian Cat Temple embellished with 8-foot-tall cat goddess statues, where attendees can get a tarot reading, visit with a pet psychic, or pay homage to their cats who have crossed over by adding their names or photos to the golden Memory Wall.
The Cat Video Cafe will feature large TV screens playing nonstop cat videos.

‘Look Again’
An artist talk for the exhibit “Look Again: Portraits of Daring Women” will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 20, at the Loveland Museum, 503 N.Lincoln Ave.
The exhibit is on exhibit through April 4 at the Loveland Museum.
In response to a growing climate of discrimination against women and other marginalized people, artist Julie Lapping Rivera, a Massachusetts-based printmaker, began a series of portraits highlighting women who were often unsung in their time.
The ongoing portfolio of woodcut and collage portraits offers an uplifting, positive and inclusive message to visitors.
The talk is free.
A Woodblock Portraiture Printmaking with Rivera will follow at 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 21. Cost is $125 and registration is required.

‘Nests’ Exhibit
“Nests: A Trypophobian Nightmare” by Sylvia Eichmann will go on display Saturday, March 21, at the Loveland Museum, 503 N. Lincoln Ave., in the Mezzanine Gallery.
“Nests” is an immersive installation that explores the tension between safety and vulnerability through organic forms inspired by nature — swallow nests, seed pods and barnacles. These clustered pods evoke the comfort of home while hinting at hidden depths and shadowed interiors, inviting viewers to confront what lies beneath the surface.
Drawing on themes of transformation and psychology, the work reflects how darkness and discomfort can become catalysts for growth and change.
The evolving community of nests encourages interaction, photography, and ongoing participation, making the exhibit both personal and communal.
The show runs through Aug. 29.
Museum admission is $7 for Loveland residents, $10 for nonresidents and children 12 and younger are free when accompanied and supervised by someone 16 or older.
The museum is open 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday; closed on Sunday and Monday.

Bird Walk
A guided Bird Walk through Chapungu Sculpture Park, 5995 Sky Pond Drive, will be offered at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 21.
Naturalist guide Sheila Webber will lead the walk, with an emphasis on wildlife habitat, bird watching and native plants.
Look for birds nestled in the treetops and near the pond, alongside Zimbabwean soapstone sculptures and Colorado native plants.
All ages are welcome. Leashed dogs are welcome too.
Binoculars are recommended.

LWV Homeless Talk
The South Larimer Discussion Group of the League of Women Voters of Larimer County will focus on current efforts to address the challenges of the unhoused in an online talk at 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 18.

Project Prom
Project Prom Colorado, a Thompson Education Foundation program, will do 2026 prom attire giveaways on Friday and Saturday, March 20-21, March 27-28 and April 3-4, at Project Prom’s pop-up site located on the west side of the Promenade Shops in between Bath & Body Works and Victoria’s Secret, 5900 block of Sky Pond Drive.
Students across Northern Colorado are invited to choose a free outfit. Project Prom offers accessories, shoes, suits and a variety of formal dress styles and colors from size XS to XXL.
The shop will be open to students from all districts in Northern Colorado. Students must present their student ID to shop.
Hours of operation are 5-7:30 p.m. on Fridays and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays.
