Dan Taylor

Dan Taylor has covered local arts and entertainment for The Press Democrat since 1981, During his long career here he has served as reporter, critic, columnist, section editor and feature writer. Currently he writes preview stories for the Friday WEEKEND section and covers entertainment events and feature stories for the news sections. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Washington in Seattle, and worked at three previous newspapers before joining the staff at The Press Democrat. Taylor won a first-place music writing award from the California Newspaper Publishers Association in 2023.
