People can learn about adaptive cycling at clinics near Longmont and Loveland this month.
Dan Zimmerman, founder of the nonprofit Spokes Fighting Strokes, will speak on the benefits of adaptive cycling for survivors of strokes, brain injuries and other conditions that cause mobility issues. Guests can take a trial ride on a recumbent trike.
The Longmont-area clinic will be held Wednesday at St. Vrain State Park, 3785 Weld County Road. The Loveland-area clinic will take place May 22 at Boyd Lake State Park, 3720 N. County Road. Both clinics will run from 10 a.m. to noon.
There is no cost for the clinics, but entry fees for the state parks still apply.
