The 23-year-old Loveland motorcyclist killed in an April 16 crash on Colorado 402 was identified Thursday by the Larimer County Coroner’s Office.

Loveland resident Logan Michael Zeigler was killed and the manner of his death was ruled an accident. The cause was multiple blunt force injuries, according to a coroner’s office press release.

Zeigler, who was on a Suzuki GSX motorcycle, was traveling eastbound on Colorado 402, approaching County Road 7, when a 47-year-old Greeley woman driving a GMC Acadia traveling west attempted to turn left onto County Road 7, according to an April 17 Loveland Police Department statement on Facebook.

As the woman driving the SUV made the left turn, her vehicle crashed into Zeigler on the motorcycle, according to the LPD post. He was pronounced dead on scene, according to the coroner’s office press release.

The Loveland Police Department’s CRASH Team, officers trained in traffic fatality investigations, responded to the scene and their preliminary findings indicated that the motorcyclist's speed contributed to the crash, according to the LPD post. Investigators did not find alcohol or drugs to be factors, the post also stated.
