Gerrymandering should not be confused with redistricting. Redistricting occurs after a federal census determines that states either gain or lose federal voting districts. Redistricting may result in fewer or more districts. Colorado’s system for redistricting looks fair (both parties and undecided voters equally represented on the commission that may redraw district boundaries following set rules).
